July 2021 — A rose growing from a crack in a concrete
I carried anxiety from the month of June through to July. The beginning of July was rocky. I encountered the most toughest times in my professional role so far. My PC hard drive crashed and I lost all my data.
The good thing is, we crossed over it.
Good things also happened in this month for me. I went on a much needed vacation trip with old and new group of friends. It was a trip I didn’t think I needed. It taught me many things in a way that I did not expect.
Maybe I will share those one day after I have carefully processed all the gifts of the trip.
Regarding work, it was hard to adjust after the trip and I wonder how many people go through this as well.
One important thing I discovered was learning that sleep helps me manage my mental instability really.
” When you feel like you are losing grip on yourself, sleep. ”
I’m finding that’s my antidote for maintaining grounding in chaos. That was the major takeaway for me.
I’m also reading Atomic Habits by James Clear and I’m finding it interesting and learning a lot. Hopefully I will share key points from the book in my August Post.
Till then…let’s keep showing up and living.
